Another Fun Card

I made this for a friend. I think it is fun to put a little time in to communication. I found the basic tutorial from here. Then I just added that cute paper flower and glued it on one corner of the page so that when pulled, the letter would open.

Homemade Card

I enjoy making home made cards for friends and family when I can. Here is my latest:It cost next to nothing because I got a sheet of the specialty paper (brown with flowers) for 10 cents. I did not use much of it. I already had the ribbon on hand. The blue flower came in a pack of at least 20 for 50 cents. The white card stock comes in a pack of 250 for a couple dollars and I used 1/2 a sheet.

Trying New Things

I made this purse for a graduation present. I really like how it turned out.

Here is my first ever, successfully paper-quilted block. Yay for Christmas table runners.

Organization

I started a small collection of fabrics last year. I do not really have a way to store them creatively or properly. Inspired by this:I decided it would look neat to take this:A common shoe organizer from Target... and make it look like this:

Uncommon Vase

My husband gave me a bouquet of flowers for my birthday. A few of the mini carnations in the arrangement fell off. Since we are "in transit" most of my vases are packed. The big bouquet I placed in a curvy glass water pitcher. This inspired me to get creative with the few that had fallen off:

Happy Spring Card

Here is my latest stamping creation. I used a small card that you attach to a gift and spiced it up with some springy stamps. A family in our church had a house fire last year. They are finally getting to move in to their new place this month and the church members are throwing them a new home shower. I felt like getting creative. (The envelope is on the right)

Home-made Magnets

I made these magnets from some cute fabric I thought would match our "vintage" Whirlpool refrigerator. To the best of my knowledge, the refrigerator is from about 1967 .
